Thermofix® TFE-XS – Lab Machine

Flatbed Laminator with Contact Heat and Pressure

The Schott & Meissner flatbed laminating machine Thermofix® TFE-XS operates using contact heat and pressure. The product to be processed is guided between two Teflon-coated conveyor belts through the flatbed laminator and heated by heating plates positioned behind the conveyor belts.

Afterwards, the product, still held between the two conveyor belts, passes through a pair of press rollers for calibration. Following the heating section, the cooling section ensures the product is “fixed” by cooling plates, which are also positioned behind the conveyor belts.

The difference between our two available versions lies primarily in the type of heating (electric or thermal oil), the construction (modular or standard lengths) and the intended applications.

Our double-belt press TFO is designed for high pressures and maximum precision, whereas our flatbed laminating machine TFE is intended for simple lamination and laminating processes.

The Thermofix® TFE-XS is available in four different widths and is designed for research and development, small series production, and special applications.
