We are pleased to announce the delivery of another Omega Drum Oven – Type OSD – to our long-standing partner Shalag. The new system will be installed at Shalag’s recently opened second U.S. plant in South Hill, VA, supporting the production of thermobonded nonwovens. These materials are used, for example, to produce ADL (Acquisition Distribution Layer) for diapers or incontinence products – functional layers that quickly absorb and distribute liquids, as well as super-soft topsheet and backsheet materials for the hygiene industry.
The Omega Drum Oven ensures precise and uniform thermal bonding, a crucial process for achieving the desired softness, absorbency and distribution performance in these high-quality hygiene products.
For Schott & Meissner, each delivery is more than fulfilling an order – it represents the continuation of a strong, long-term partnership. Our equipment is already in use at Shalag sites internationally and we are proud to support our partner’s global growth.
