The AirCon TS® Double Belt Oven is used for Nonwoven Bonding by hot air treatment to produce polymerized and compacted Nonwoven.

Those will be further processed to be molded for the automobile industry and are used for insulating materials.

Mostly phenolic powder is used as binder.

The thermal treatment of the web is done by air-through flow. The hot air circulates in a closed system, the web is transferred between upper and lower belts, and the whole air quantity is forced to penetrate the web.

The continuous web is entering the oven section and is calibrated down to the requested thickness.

From the start of the heating up-process until the end of the cooling down-process, the web remains in the same position and the structure of one fibre to another is maintained (thermo-bonding process equals (=) heating up and cooling down).

This is possible by using air permeable steel belts which travel through the heating and cooling sections without interruption.

The upper conveyor belt is adjustable in height and allows, on one hand, to have air flow direction from bottom to top without touching the upper air nozzles and, on the other hand, to densify the web by reducing the distance between the two conveyors.

The fans for the circulation air are built in alternately. Therefore the air penetrates the web alternately from bottom to top and from top to bottom.

Gas is usually used for heating up the air.
