Padding System

This system is used for one-sided bonding of the web, e.g. for a carpet backing.

A special designed cylinder picks up the impregnating fluid out of a basin onto the backside of the web, which contacts the cylinder.

The degree of impregnation is adjustable by control instruments, e.g. concentration, aggressiveness of application, speed and direction of rotation of the pick up roller.

After the impregnation process the web is travelling through a RegulAir^® Drying Conveyor Oven for drying the impregnation.
